Community policing is a philosophy and management approach that promotes a community and law enforcement partnership in problem solving and addressing issues that affect our communities. It involves personal contact and interaction. Some of the programs the Sheriff's Department offers that are a part of community policing are:
- Citizen fingerprinting for concealed weapon permits, school employment, etc.
- Ranch Watch
- Vacation Watch
It is very important that we work together to make our community safe and drug-free. With community involvement, we can be more effective in helping to preserve the quality of life in Sublette County. For more information, call the Sheriff's Office at (307) 367-4378 or (307) 276-5448.
